What to Buy Baby
Before the Gender Reveal
A List of Gender Neutral Must Haves
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been itching to buy everything under the sun since the day you found out you were pregnant. You want to be ready for the arrival of your baby but, what do you buy if you still don’t know if you’re having a boy or girl? I have compiled a list of my must have items to purchase for the long awaited gender reveal.
1. Diaper Bag
I’m not a big fan of the over-the-shoulder diaper bag. To me they aren’t comfortable or practical. I am in love with the backpack style diaper bags. Not only are they cute and chic, they are officiant and comfortable when you’re out and about with your baby. I love this HaloVa Diaper Bag. They have tons of colors you can choose from, and since it’s a back pack you can choose your favorite color no matter what the gender. Personally, I love the Linen Gray and it goes with anything!
All cribs are usually gender neutral. They typically come in white, gray, brown, and black. No matter what gender you end up having, these are all neutral colors. I love this Graco Bryson 4 in 1 Convertible Crib in white. Not only is this crib one of the more affordable ones, it’s also a great investment. It can be used as a crib, converted into a toddler bed, and can be transformed into a full-size head board and foot board so it can grow with your child.
You can’t go wrong with purchasing a rocker or bouncer. This is one of the items that I recommend getting gender neutral if you are planning on having any more babies in the future. These can run on both ends of the price spectrum, but the one I chose is right there in the middle. I’ve heard great things about this Graco Duet Soothe swing I can’t actually review it since the baby isn’t here to try it out yet, but it’s the one I went with because not only is it a swing, but it coverts into a rocker/bouncer as well (who doesn’t want a two in one). A simple gray or black will perfect, and like I said if you are planning to have any more babies in the future, you can use it for them too!
You can’t go wrong with getting a whole bunch of onsies. You can get white ones that will go with literally everything. I also found these onsies with cute little designs on them that can be perfect for boys or girls. I think the best way to go about buying clothing is to stick with gender neutral colors like mint/teal, yellow, grays, and whites.
I wouldn’t splurge on a ton of shoes for your newborn because they are going to grow out them before you can blink an eye. I found these adorable suede moccasins from Honey + Babe that I absolutely fell in love with. No matter if you have a boy or girl, these little shoes will go perfect with your bundle of joy.
